Connect the two halves together

The goal today is to link the two halves into one long section.

The two beams are ready to connect.  That big open spot will be filled with the H linker.

This is the H linker.  It will fill the gap and link the two beam.

The linker in place makes a continuous beam for the strongback.  The screws that tie the linker in have not been installed at this point.

Do you think there are enough screws to hold the beam together?  Before inserting all these screws I spent about an hour (maybe more) moving the table around and making sure everything was level in two dimensions and true in the third dimension.  The point is to take you time and get it as close to perfect as you can.  But eventually you have to clamp it down and put the screws to it!

The result is a long table -- this is going to be some boat!!!!

Looks pretty straight to me.

The plywood is in place but not screwed down yet.  I'm almost ready to start putting the kit together.
