Faster Planks

It works!  My faster method of joining planks seems faster to implement and faster to cleanup.  The key is to make apply the epoxy with precision and forget the tape.

This shows the three components hanging off the table so I can coat the edges of all sides of the joints with unthickened epoxy.  When the components are off the table like this small drops don't get on the plastic and cause messes.  When the epoxy soaks into the wood that is no longer a problem and the pieces can be pushed together cleanly.  The jig makes it easy to position the pieces for the application of the thickened epoxy.

Tomorrow the planks get skinny enough to do two at once.
