Don't you hate it when stuff gets in the way of what's really important?  I'm ready to start filleting the hull and then laminating the carbon and s-glass to the inside.  Once I start these steps they have to be completed one after the other with less than 24 hours between steps if I want a chemical bond.

But it's Christmas time: buy presents, buy Christmas tree, get ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  And no boat work possible on the 24th because I'll be too busy.  And certainly no boat work allowed on Christmas Day.  For crying out loud, I'm trying to build a boat here!

So now I'm ready to start filleting and laminating and I have to wait until after Christmas.  Oh well, good thing there's a bunch of fill in jobs to do.  Today I started cutting the wood for the ama shear clamps.  I'll finish scarfing them tomorrow and then start turning ama components into ama planks.  After Christmas is over I'll start one of the most importact sequences for building the vaka.

Till then - Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way . . .
