Cabin Sole Framing

More good progess is being made on the interior of the vaka. I'm at the point now where I can paint the cargo holds, bow, and stern with System Three epoxy primer.

This shows the floor panels being glued to the hatch frames.
While that glue was curing I started cutting the supports and dry fitting to the vaka.

Here the supports are in place but not glued in yet. The bottom has been sanded (but not wiped clean yet) in preparation for the paint. All the supports will be removed for painting the primer. They will get reinstalled and glued after the primer is dry. I have to wait a full week before I can put on the final coat of paint so the supports will get glued in and I'll have to work around them for the final coat.
While all that was being done I have also started scarfing the ama planks.

Two more planks and I will be ready to start building amas.
