Akas Done and Both Amas Skinned

Finally all four akas are done.  It was a lot of work but worth the effort.  Looking back they weren't all that bad.  They just seemed worse than reality due to the pressure of the targeted Everglades Challenge date. 


Here are the last two akas on my custom built aka drying rack.  I have some minor trimming to do and some hardware to mount but they are done until I actually start putting the boat together.

While finishing the akas I was also working on the second ama.


This shows skinning complete.  I have to add another 4 foot piece of 6 oz tape on the bow for a grand total of four 6 oz layers on the bow - ramming speed!
